The President & founder of ASHBY & ASSOCIATES LLC, Frank Ashby, has over 30 years experience as an accounting professional. He has a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois (one of the nation’s TOP accounting schools) and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. He passed all parts of the 1987 CPA exam, first setting. He has three years of public accounting experience, specializing in manufacturing, with Arthur Andersen & Company formerly located in Chicago, Illinois. He has designed and implemented standard cost systems for several manufacturing companies. He also acquired extensive experience in corporate re-structuring processes as a hand-picked member of the C.O.R.E. (Concentrating on Restaurant Excellence) team with a large national restaurant company (Advantica), located in SC, that had sales of over $4 Billion. The C.O.R.E. team recommendations resulted in a savings of over $20 million in administrative expenses alone. Frank has over seven (7) years experience as the Controller & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a medium sized trucking company located in the Southeastern US with revenues in excess of $20 million. He has particular expertise in budgeting, spreadsheet modeling and database applications for detailed financial analysis. As a result of these combined experiences, ASHBY & ASSOCIATES LLC offers our clients the necessary expertise in developing solid business solutions in meeting their business challenges and issues in whatever form they may take.
In addition, Frank has been doing taxes for individuals and businesses for over 30 years since his college days. Ashby & Associates uses the most up-to-date and state-of-the-art tax software, which enables unlimited electronic tax filings for both Federal and State returns. As for State returns, this software enables Ashby & Associates to file in any of the 50 states. As a matter of fact, Ashby & Associates has tax clients scattered throughout various states and returns are prepared from information collected via email, phone, regular mail or express mail.
